Welcome! In today's video I’m giving my back deck a much needed makeover to freshen it up for the outdoor season. We spend most of our time out here so we prioritize giving this space a nice sprucing up every few years to keep it feeling serene. 🌵 First, I gave the deck a thorough cleaning by blowing it off, spraying then scrubbing it down. I do this every year. Next, after making a few trips to an At Home store over an hour away, I put up some new umbrellas along with a chimenea for our seating area. 🔥 I also stained my wood table then put together a succulent centerpiece. Why have I waited so long to plant succulents? This spot gets hot and succulents with hold up nicely while also looking beautiful! 🤩 I ordered some string lights and poles to give the deck some nice ambience and extra lighting. It looks great! Threw in a few new throw pillows and I was done! It’s amazing what a little sprucing up can do for a space! This year I went with a cool color palette with purples, white, chartreuse, and light yellow. I started by routing my drip line up through each empty pot before filling them with ‪@MiracleGro‬ potting soil and sprinkling in some slow release fertilizer.
