Food in Japanese Baseball Stadiums - Take me out to eat at the ball game!

Take me out to eat at the Japanese ball game! We went to a baseball game in Japan to eat all the available baseball stadium food. Well, almost. And the available food is truly nothing like in the American baseball stadiums. Of course you will find the hot dog here, but most of the available baseball stadium food is truly Japanese to the core. For this video, we went to the Yokohama stadium of the Yokohama Baystars, the local baseball team of Yokohama, just South of Tokyo. The food offered ranges from American classics like hot dogs, pizza and fried chicken to Japanese comfort foods like Ramen, Takoyaki and different meats and things on rice. What we had in the video in order: Takoyaki - Octopucs pieces in a ball of dough. Deep fried and then covered in a bbq-style sauce specific for takoyaki (called takoyaki sauce), mayonaise and shaved katsuo flakes. Butakakuni donburi - Butakakuni is braised pork belly that melts in your mouth. It is covered with a sweet and savory sauce, based on sake, mirin and soy sauce. Put all that on some rice and everyone is happy. Baystars Hot Dog - They call it the best hot dog in a ball park ever. We...have doubts about that statement. It is a rather small wiener sausage in an oversized, almost baguette like bun. A very dry affair. And they even recommend to eat it as is, whithout any condiments. Crazy. Plus, they will run out BEFORE the game ends. Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen - This is where it's at! Of course, you can't expect ramen at a baseball game to blow your mind. But I definitely expected worse and was really surprised. They serve a pork bone based broth with a soy sauce tare, very rich and satisfying. For me, the best food we had that day at the baseball game.
