In his grief Inuyasha swears he will bring her back to life. Kagome awakens in an icy hell, tormented by images of Inuyasha, while the real Inuyasha is searching for her soul. He discovers the doorway to hell and manages to fight off the guards, following Kagome's light (the jewel shards) through the opening and dragging her back.
