In prior lectures of this series, we reviewed how to acquire Spatiotemporal Image Correlation (STIC) volumes for the Fetal Intelligent Navigation Echocardiography (FINE) method. PART 1 provided general recommendations. In PART 2, we reviewed how to enhance the overall sonographic image, and discussed the region of interest, acquisition angle, and acquisition time. In this presentation (PART 3), we discuss specific recommendations on STIC volume acquisition for the FINE method (such as fetal spine position), and how to obtain an appropriate four-chamber view of the fetal heart. FINE is a novel sonographic method to examine the fetal heart. This method automatically generates and displays nine standard fetal cardiac views simultaneously. It simplifies the fetal cardiac examination, shortens examination time, and reduces operator dependency. FINE has recently been shown to have high sensitivity (98%) and specificity (93%) for the detection of congenital heart disease.
