2024 Mitsubishi Mirage ES: The Best and Only New Car Option in the U.S., for me personally

This is the base model. I purchased it 3 months ago and have been splitting my driving with it and my other car, so it still has only a little over 1,000 miles on it, as of today. I'm still learning how some things work on this. I wanted a simple car, like they were made 15 years ago, without all the new-age technology and so-called safety features, with alarms, flashing displays, and the car taking control and doing things "for you". Not only do I not like those things, because I feel they make you less safe, but it's also just more things that can break and cause you problems. This is the simplest new car on the market in the United States, but even so, there are still some things I'm not understanding. One example is the estimated miles per gallon. One seems to reset frequently and at random, but when a certain switch is made, the mpgs change, so I don't know what's going on. That just shows that there's far too much technology being put in cars now, where even the simplest car on the market is complicated in some ways.
