BRIAR BEAUTY DOLL BED REMAKE [EVER AFTER HIGH]

I didn't actually set out to remake Ever After High Briar Beauty's bed this weekend...I actually intended to remake Cedar Wood's, but when I was out shopping for craft supplies, I kept running into ribbons, trims, and things that would look good in Briar Beauty's bed, so I decided ... what the heck? I'll just go with the flow. To remake Briar Beauty's doll bed, I started off with the blanket. I always think that if I can make a great blanket for a doll, then the rest of the bed will turn out beautiful by default. So I had some fabric left over from her previous bed - a raspberry-colored fabric with diamond patterns insewn. I bought a rosebud hairpin, a piece of pink-and-black lace felt, some zebra print ribbon, some black-and-silver bridal ribbon, and some black lace ribbon, and I used these together with some previous black and silver trims that I had to create her blanket. I actually really liked how her blanket turned out - for some reason, Briar Beauty's blanket reminded me of a flamenco dress. Then, I made her a pillow. To preserve her edgy style, I started off with the same gator-print fabric as I used in Melody Piper's doll bed. I then trimmed the top and bottom with the bridal ribbon. Then I added the bling monogram "B" to the center and made it into a pillow by hot-gluing the two ends together, hot-gluing the bottom seam, stuffing cotton balls into the middle, and then hot-gluing the top seam. To finish off Briar Beauty's pillow, I hot-glued a single pink fabric rose to the top left corner of her "B." For the bed itself, I basically still had a fuchsia-covered smoothfoam block from Poppy O'Hair's old bed. I also ripped apart Briar Beauty's old bed and hot-glued those two pieces together. Using the fabric from her previous blanket, a black satin rosette fabric, as well as the lace-and-pink trim for a bedskirt, the zebra print trim, the bridal ribbon, and the black-and-silver trim from Melody Piper's bed, I created her a brand new "bed of roses." As for her headboard and footboard, the name "Briar" means "thorn" or "brambles." In fact, the briar rose is a very thorny rose (just Google it if you don't believe me). I got the idea from her Thronecoming bed to make a headboard of thorns or brambles in cutout patterns. Using two dowel rods, a square laser cut frame, black paint, and some Christmas decorations, I created a headboard that resembles silver brambles. Lastly, I added some fabric roses as the finishing touch. In the end, I also felt the frame was too plain, so I added some rhinestone stickers and more raspberry-and-pink rose embellishments to give it that special flair. For Briar Beauty's footboard, I repurposed a fairy garden gate by repainting it and adding more silver brambles to it. I also added a beautiful rosette (as suggested by my 5-year-old daughter) to finish it off. In the end, Briar Beauty's new doll bed looks like it's charmingly overrun by silver brambles, yet maintains it's princess-quality luxury and extravagance. I hope you like Briar Beauty's bed remake, and that you'll leave me a comment as to what you think of it! Thank you for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel - I appreciate you all.
