How to virginise & program Peugeot Citroen IAW6LP ECU using Autel Maxisys diagnostic V ThinkCar Max

Here we are showing how to virginise a Peugeot 206 1.6 petrol ECU (Magneti Marelli IAW6LP), these ECUs are also fitted to various other Peugeot / Citroen cars such as C3 etc.. Usually we would simply clone these units but in this case the customer was suspecting he had corrupt data so we virginised the ECU & programmed it to the vehicle using the cars PIN code, this method can also be used when the original ECU is missing or completely dead & unreadable.. Normally we would advise programming a virginised unit with 'Dealer tool' (Peugeot Planet / Citroen Lexia but today we decided to test 2 diagnostic tools to see if they have the capability of doing this job - First we tried the Autel Maxisys MS909 & then we tried the Think tool MAX - An identical tool to the Launch X431 Euro tab 3, also the same as the Topdon Phoenix max If you need an ECU virginised or cloned check us out at: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
