Yes, we sank our Land Rover Defender one day after crossing to Argentina. Overconfidence is really your worst enemy while Overlanding, it can lead you to take stupid risks, this case is the example. We were driving the paths parallel to the Uruguay river, which after heavy rains over weeks, had increased it's levels, flooding neighbor roads. We were already more than 10 km away from Yapeyú when we decided to do a river crossing, that turned out to be a nightmare. It was really dramatic, our adrenaline was off the roof, we were eaten by mosquitos, it was the most desperate we have been in this trip.
