Combining some corn! It was pretty wet all year, but it was especially wet this Fall--making combining a challenge. As you can see, we were playing in the mud! It seems that our combine really likes to slide in the mud, and once it slides into a prior rut it doesn't come out of that rut easy. You don't get stuck, but you do find yourself crawling ahead on an angle for awhile! Most of the field wasn't bad, but there were some frustrating stretches and also some knee-deep standing water in places. All said, it was good to get off! The corn was Dekalb DKC 38-04 and ran about 175 bushels to the acre.
