In this video I make my first attempt at viewing a sunset from the summit of Avery Peak in the Bigelow range. Unsure of how the conditions would fair once I reached the peak, I hiked on in hopes of a view! Though I didn’t get one, I got the last few minutes of the golden glow at a lower viewing point. My first time hiking in the dark here as well. Because I’ve hiked this trail so many times I was totally comfortable making the descent after sunset. (Please don’t attempt any nighttime hiking unless you’re fully prepared and know the terrain.) Thank you for watching another one of my adventures! Happy Hiking!!
