Hey everyone, today I'm going to be talking about how to convert your gas generator to propane without a conversion kit. Now, before we start, I want to issue a WARNING that this process can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS if not done correctly. This is for EMERGENCY USE ONLY. I must stress that I have no idea what I am doing, and nothing will stop the flow of propane should the generator stop. Therefore, it's essential to never let it run unattended. It's also crucial to have plenty of health, life, and property insurance, and make sure it's all paid up. I can't stress this enough; you have been warned! That being said, the conversion process is actually quite simple and takes only about five minutes. When starting the generator, it's essential to use very little propane initially. As you can see in the video, it took me several attempts to get it started the first time. Once you've dialed it in, it becomes easy to start afterward. However, the propane flow will need to be adjusted once the generator is under load. You will notice in the video that it took several tries when I first attempted to start the generator. That's because the valve was open too far. In summary, converting your gas generator to propane without a conversion kit can be done, but it's important to take all necessary precautions and have a good understanding of what you're doing before attempting it. Always remember that safety should be your top priority. Please don't be an idiot and comment that this is dangerous. I have stated that repeatedly. You'll just look like a horse's ass. Again, this is for use during an emergency, such as a power outage after a hurricane. If you can buy a conversion kit or a dual-fuel generator, that is definitely the way to go.
