Bowling is one of the 5 training sports in Wii Sports. There are three different training modes for this sport for each game: Picking Up Spares, Power Throws, Spin Control 00:00 Picking Up Spares In Picking Up Spares, the player's goal is to clear as many stages as possible. Each stage has a unique arrangement of pins, and the player must clear all the pins in a stage in one throw to move on to the next stage. If the player fails to clear all pins, he loses a ball and must start the stage over. The player has five chances to complete all twenty stages. 05:42 Power Throws In Power Throws, the player tries to knock down as many pins as possible in a special alley where the gutters have been replaced by walls. The game consists of ten levels, each with an increasing number of pins to knock down, starting with 10 pins in level one and ending with 91 pins in level ten. As the number of pins increases, the walls of the lane move further apart to create more space. The player is awarded one point for each pin knocked down, unless the player gets a strike, in which case the points for that level are doubled. The highest score possible is 890 points. 09:47 Spin Control In Spin Control, the player tries to knock down different arrangements of pins while avoiding obstacles placed in the lane. Like Picking Up Spares, there are twenty levels and the player has five chances to clear them all. The barriers are often placed in such a way that the player is forced to add some spin to his shot in order to knock down the pins at the end of the lane, hence the name.
