This morning we have the latest on the Trump assassination attempt. We will summarize what happened as well as what we learned. There was a press conference at 12 am eastern time and we will give you some of the highlights, plus we have a number of questions that need answering and once again, we emphasize there is nothing like this event predicted in Scripture. UPDATE 1:49 a.m. ET The FBI has officially confirmed that the dead shooter’s name was Thomas Matthew Crooks. They released the following statement: The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump on July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania. UPDATE 12:56 a.m. ET Next week’s Republican convention will be held two blocks away from the site where President Teddy Roosevelt survived an assassination attempt in 1912. Trump’s defiant raised fist in the face of a killer calls to mind the manly swagger of that earlier Republican populist president who famously said, “It takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.” Even the left-wing and Trump hating New York Times acknowledged the iconic image Trump presented today: “Wait, wait, wait, wait,” the former president instructed, his voice a harried — but startlingly clear — command. Reluctantly, they halted. He peered out into the crowd. And then his arm reached toward the sky, and he began punching the air. The crowd started to chant — “U-S-A! U-S-A!” — as the agents inched Mr. Trump toward the stairs. When they reached the top step, they paused once more, so Mr. Trump could lift his arm a little higher, and pump his fist a little faster. The crowd roared a little louder. Mr. Trump would not leave the stage without signaling to his fans that he was OK — even as some were still wailing in fear. And he did not just wave or nod, he raised his fist in defiance above his bloodied face — making an image history will not forget. What we know about the assassin His name is Thomas Matthew Crooks. There is a video of him saying that he hates Republicans, and he hates Trump. “This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” the F.B.I. said in a statement early Sunday. The Questions There are so many questions that need answering. Specifically, hating Trump is one thing, attempting to kill him is quite another. Why did he do this? And then there is this. How did he get near the venue with a rifle? Was he able to park close to the building that he climbed up upon. Why did he choose that building? Did he know that it would be unguarded? Why wasn’t it secured? How was it that he was able to climb up it without being seen? Did he have any help? When the two witnesses told law enforcement that they saw a man with a rifle on the building why didn’t they react. Why didn’t the sniper who took him out see him only after he had fired six shots? And the big question, how could the Secret Service, etc. leave that particular building unsecured? It was directly in the line of sight to where President Trump would be speaking, and it was definitely within shooting range? How could they be so incompetent? Or was this something that someone in authority was in on? In other word, he working with someone or some ones who were in authority? These and so many more questions need to be answered. He Will Receive Some Type Of Fatal Head Wound This seems to be the significant event in the life of the coming Antichrist. One of the beastʼs heads appeared to have been killed, but the lethal wound had been healed. And the whole world followed the beast in amazement (Revelation 13:3 NET). There is some question as to what actually happens here. Does the “Final Antichrist” actually die and then somehow come back to life. This is a popular view, but it is not the only possibility. The phrase “one of the “beast’s heads” seems to rule out his personal death and phony resurrection. In addition, while it says that “one of the heads is wounded to death,” nowhere does it say that beast himself is dead. It seems that the government of the beast looks like it will in some sense be dead, but it somehow miraculously returns to life. To sum up, clearly, we are not talking about what happened yesterday.
