My Cover of David Gilmour's wonderful guitar instrumental Raise My Rent from his self titled 1978 solo album. I'm bringing David Gilmour month to a close with this one and I'm going to follow it up with a tutorial in the coming few days. Been working on this one for a few days now trying to get the whole thing firmly memorized as it's basically a 5 minute long guitar solo with little to no repetition. From the beginning of Gilmour month I've been planning on closing it out with this one. One of Gilmour's longest and finest solos. Unfortunately it's one of his solos that often gets overlooked as it stems from his only modestly successful and little heard debut solo album. Certainly not getting overlooked around these parts. Easily one of my favorites of his.
