This video compares FFXIV and GW2 running on the same system. The video shows the Task Manager performance, mostly of GPU, and the system component temperatures during the runs. First is FFXIV [ with Blue Overlay Text] of a Paladin outside Udah killing low level mobs and flying around on a chocobo. This is not a very good test of the Studdering problem since studdering does not occur very often. The studders occur much more often in a dungeon, as you can see from the other video. However, we note that every time the GPU performance dips on the Task Manager Graph, the game rendering studders. So it is apparently not more GPU load, but less GPU load that is shown as a studder. Part of this video shows the Ethernet to see if studdering is correlated with Ethernet activity. Apparently not. The Second segment of the video [ with Red Text Labels ] is of Guild Wars 2. Starting in Wizards tower and running around there, before going to Inner Nayos and flying and killing some mobs. No studdering in this game at any time. The dips are new scenes - teleporting to a new area - showing a loading screen. During this entire test, the game maintained consistent frame rate with no studders.
