In this video I ended up with far more images than originally expected. The abstract challenge is something I plan on doing more often. As a photographer working in travel & tourism I have always gravitated towards iconic landscapes and cultural highlights. I still do and capturing location specific images is part of my job, however one of the things I love about photography is it's subjective nature. How we perceive and view our surroundings. Abstract Photography (according to Adobe) is utilizing perspective, movement, and light to transform the world we see into an unexpected, often unrecognisable image. As Rachael says in this video Abstract is the 'the image not representing a recognisable thing, that it's just about pattern.' I like to think of it as an image that draws your eye and makes you wonder, less chaos, more organised chaos. Next up is 'How to Ice Bath in Antarctica' ... see you there!!
