This update streamlines their tool and battery offerings, consolidating 3 battery sub-brands into just 20V or XR, and simplifying 5 tool lines into 3 clear categories: 20V MAX, XR (High Performance), or ATOMIC COMPACT SERIES (Compact). Releasing with the announcement are several new tools and a new battery, with more to come very soon. These include a 20V MAX XR POWERPACK 8.0Ah Battery (DCB2108) or 2-pack (DCB2108-2), 20V MAX XR 3-Speed 1/4″ High Torque Impact Driver bare tool (DCF860B) and kit (DCF860WW1), 20V MAX XR Brushless Cordless 1/2" Hammer Drill bare tool (DCD1007B) or kit (DCD1007WW1), and the 20V MAX XR 2-1/4 HP Dedicated Plunge Router (DCW620B).
