Beechcraft 99A Airliner / C6-FLO Flamingo Air / FMR499 Dep: Freeport Grand Bahama International (FPO), Bahamas (Rwy 06) Arr: Alice Town South Bimini (BIM), Bahamas (Rwy 10) Date: Oct 14th, 2018 / Seat: 1B ----------------------------------------------------- Flamingo Air’s B99A Airlines in action between Freeport (FPO) and South Bimini (BIM). A lucky and nerve wrecking catch, our third and final try for the B99 and about to go wrong again as passengers were boarding the Cessna 402. However something broke during engine startup, so the pilots walked over to the Beechcraft and fired it up for the first rotation in the morning. Luckily the Cessna wasn’t fixed and our subsequent Bimini rotation was also on the B99. Aircraft types in the Bahamas are quite random as we learned, glad we catched it eventually.
