"Mellow Rings"

Just a very brief demo of my two most favourite eurorack modules of all time: Vermona Melodicer and Mutable Instruments Rings. I have featured the Melodicer before in a couple of videos, it's ability to produce endless, hypnotic, evolving, musical sequences still amazes me. In this video I have teamed it up with my favourite sound-generating module of all time, which is Rings from Mutable Instruments. I find the sonic qualities, the organic nature of the sound, to be so enjoyable and addictive. I can find myself noodling away with Rings for hours at a time. And it is such a "small-footprint" modules to use, you don't need to use an envelope generator to shape the sound and you don't even need to feed it a gate signal either since it detects note changes automatically. A truly wonderful module from a family of truly wonderful modules. Why oh why did Mutable Instruments decide to stop? :(
