The 100-degree heat quickly pushed me to my limit. I am not proud of my lack of patience in this situation. I was amazed that the coaching staff had completely missed the fundamentals of the softball specific Look-Back Rule. I should have been more patient. I should have listened more. I was stunned that I was even having to explain the rule fundamentals in a 16U State Qualifier tournament. I was sure that there must have been something I was missing. It turns out that after reviewing the video, the play happened exactly as I thought... Wow! - For a minute or two during the discussion with the coach, I thought I was either being "Punked" or temporarily transported to the "Twilight Zone".
