This week's older board game gem is Merkator, designed by Uwe Rosenberg and published by Lookout Games ten years ago. This author and publisher have made many great, well-respected strategy board games together, but Merkator is kind of a forgotten sibling to those ones. Players are Hamburgers during the Thirty Years' War, travelling around Europe (plus Newfoundland!), gaining and delivering goods.
