I bought this Sievert blowtorch in an antique shop full of amazing old stuff and the funny owner I started to restore it by removing all the parts. Using the "recipe of the day" flour, salt and vinegar I cleaned the brass with a steel wool and then I polished it on the new/old polishing grinder. The nice thing about this blowtorch is that each piece is engraved with the brand and the place where was made Sievert made in Stockholm Sweden but they didn't place anywhere the manufacture date, which is very important Perhaps to never make it old I was a bit concern to catching on fire the first time I turn it on 😜 I use lamp oil - kerosene on the tank and alcohol to ignite it by heating the torch pressure inside increases.
