SDF-1 Macross/Robotech Infographic

For our newest After Effects class assignment, we had to work on an "infographic". Being that I had just finished re-watching the original "Macross" series, I thought it would be cool to do a technical schematic of the SDF-1 (Macross). I used information for the highlights that I found on Wikipedia and macross2.net. I found an mp3 of the Robotech theme and used that for the background music. I chose this song because it is instrumental and seemed to fit the mood a bit better than the "Macross" theme. The sound effects are from Final Cut Pro and iLife. The SDF-1/Macross illustration was created in Photoshop with each element on a separate layer so I could take them into After Effects and link them up with the parenting tools to create the animations. The Macross logo was created in Adobe Illustrator. All the animations were done in After Effects and final rendering and adding sound effects were completed in Adobe Premiere. Music used: "Robotech: Main Title". Used for educational purposes.
