In this video, I will paint Hollyhock. This painting is for beginners tutorial step by step. I will post another Hollyhock video for advanced level sooner. Hollyhock is a long-blooming summer favorite. It graces gardens throughout the United States and in other countries. They come in a variety of colors from whites, yellows, pinks, reds. I will apply the Wet on Wet technique on the back ground. I will wet the paper sufficiently 2~3 times. Also I will use the splatter technique on the back ground for getting abstraction effect. And we will learn how to describe the shadows on the flowers. Someone asked me what color I apply for the shadow. I use the some kind of purple color which was generated from mixing ultramarine mainly and magenta or indigo. COLOR: ultramarine deep, sap green, opera, alizarin crimson PAPER: Arches Cold Pressed 140lb. BRUSH: Davinci 8 cosmotop Mix B, Davinci 3 petit gris pur. Davinci Round 5, Escoda 1.
