A&Z #1079 - Professional eater Randy Santel versus Hogs & Heifers' "Man vs Hogs" 50/50 Irish Bacon Cheeseburger hosted by Hogs & Heifers Bar & Grill in Swords, Co. Dublin, Ireland! After finishing up our 6-state Midwest USA Tour, ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I flew across the pond to Dublin, Ireland so we could spend 40+ days exploring most of the major cities and areas around Ireland. During our travels, I attempted 16 Irish man vs food restaurant challenges. For eating challenge event #2, we headed to Hogs & Heifers part of Airside Retail Park in Swords, Co. Dublin, Ireland so we could each attempt Hogs & Heifers "Man vs Hogs" 50/50 Irish Bacon Cheeseburger Challenge which had only been beaten once after many valiant attempts. I had just 30 minutes to feast on six 1/2lb (8oz) 50/50 Irish beef burger patties made in-house that morning from 50% flank steak and 50% beef brisket. There were 6 slices of cheese, lots of stringy bacon, house sauce all throughout, and there were lots of tomato slices and red onions. Each layer also had a portion of juicy shredded braised beef which was so delicious!! The challenge included a big bowl of chips plus a 16oz pint of creamy Guinness. I was trying to become the second person ever to win my €45 burger meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on Hogs & Heifers' Wall of Fame. Their burgers are made in-house daily from 100% Irish beef. - The beef burger patties are made from 50% Irish flank steak and 50% Irish beef brisket. - This "Man vs Hogs" Challenge features six of these big 1/2lb (8oz) 50/50 burger patties. - They are all stacked and layered with six slices of cheese, lots of stringy bacon, plenty of their Hogs & Heifers House Sauce, and there are also lots of healthy tomato slices and red onions. - Each beef patty and slice of cheese was also topped with a portion of shredded braised beef. - The food challenge includes a big bowl of chips and challengers must finish a pint of Guinness. - There is a 30 minute time limit.
