In this episode of The Great Amazing Book Show I started out with the plan of creating a gingerbread Leprechaun. But the last time I made gingerbread in my magical kitchen it didn't go so well. I didn't have the ingredients or the recipe, so instead I decided we'd pay tribute to the color green by making some green eggs! I was all ready to post a craft video on how to make your own green eggs with food coloring when something happened and a magical spell was put on the eggs so that all the yolks turned green. Magic! It was such a surprise! Well, I went ahead and read Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss while they cooked. The book is a fun little rhyme about a guy named Sam who won't let up on his friend trying to get him to try Green Eggs and Ham in whatever circumstance he can think of. They go all over offering and refusing until finally, his friend gives in and agrees to try them. They are in fact good. He is surprised and astounded that he did not try them sooner. It's a fun book applicable to all picky eaters. I come back from reading to try my magical green eggs that I did not have an explanation for and soon find out they are extremely tasty. However, the book ends to early because that guy must have turned green after eating those things. After all, that's what happened to me. Oh well. I hope it wears off eventually.
