Books vs Games: Was Halo Reach the BETTER Story?

Those of you who've been fans of Halo will remember the great conflict that surrounded the release of Halo Reach. It made MASSIVE changes to the story of the planet's destruction. It almost every way, it was different than The Fall of Reach. Although Bungie and later 343 attempted to merge the two narratives, I still see them as separate. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but in my humble opinion, Halo Reach tells a tighter and more coherent narrative, one grounded in mil scifi and realism. Halo Reach tells a better story.
