How-To: Massey Ferguson MF285 Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump Replacement & PTO Pack Inspection

In this video we will be replacing the auxiliary hydraulic pump that runs the remotes on a Massey Ferguson MF285 tractor. The procedure should be similar for most 100 and 200 series MF tractors. Not shown in this footage: We used a rubber band to hold the lift control lever in place when installing the top cover. The rubber ban is flexible so it can remain in place inside without interfering with the operation of the control. We will also be removing & inspecting the PTO clutch pack.
