I honestly never believed I'd be able to cover this, let alone even nail the sound. It feels pretty special to have finally covered this. The only difficult thing I found about covering this was the constant strumming. My arm pretty much never got a break lol. It was all good though and totally worth having a tired arm at the end. I think in the video toward the end you can tell my arm is getting a little tired. I wonder how Edge plays this night after night without getting tired. There's two main tones for this song. "Clean" tone, which is used throughout majority of the song (there's even a slight grit to it so it's not entirely clean), and a dirty tone on the one verse. I just used a slight bit of natural gain from amp, a compressor and two delays to achieve the clean sound. For the dirty verse sound I just added a Overdrive pedal to the chain. Bass on the amp was at about 3, mids were midway, and treble was at about a 6. Gets you a nice clean and clear sound. The strat also played a huge role as well. I've been in love with it so as you can see I've made a ton of videos with it since I got it. I hope you all enjoy this cover and let me know where I might be able to improve. Thank you all!
