In a poor living room, Catnap mother and Catnap baby watch the snow falling outside the window. Catnap baby sees Unicorn mother and Unicorn baby happily sledding. Determined, the mother decides to take a basket of eggs to sell in order to buy new items for her child. At the park, Catnap mother sees a shop selling clothes, scarves, and hats. Later, Dogday female sells goods to Unicorn and receives a suitcase of money. Zookeeper sees this and steals the suitcase, causing Dogday female to fall into an ice lake. Hearing the cry for help, Catnap mother runs to the scene and jumps into the lake to save Dogday female. Dogday male arrives and, with Catnap mother's help, revives Dogday female. Catnap mother returns home shivering from the cold. Catnap baby hopes his mother brought new items but is disappointed when she returns empty-handed. At this moment, Dogday male and female arrive, bringing many gift bags containing new scarves, hats, and sleds for Catnap baby. Catnap baby happily skates around the house. Dogday female thanks Catnap mother, and they both watch Catnap baby joyfully skating.
