Most Beautiful Old Traditional Village Ceremony | Unseen Mountain Life in Pakistan| Baltistan Mir Changna མིར་ ཅ'ན། is a special Balti festival that is celebrated by the people of Ghursay district Ghanche since about 1750. The main purpose of celebrating this festival is in the joy in which Mir Arif miraculously turned the Siachen River towards Sailing The river which started flowing from Ghursay (ancient tsai-Thangཚེ་ཐན། city Capital of ancient state of Khaplu) due to a great flood which destroyed all the city which dates back to sixteenth century .The people settled here celebrate this festival when a Sufi saint Mir Arif reach here and turned river miraculously and ask people to gather and recite the Holy Quran every year and offer special prayers for the protection of this ancient area from floods .For this, the local numberdars goes to all the houses of Ghursay valley two or three days in advance and make a special noise and collect apricot oil and on the day of the festival on the stone where Mir Arif's amulet was placed today where dome shape shrine is build all the localities gather and recites the Holy Qur'an, recites darood sharif and pray for the safety of this ancient valley.
