HEAVY RAIN Camping ALONE - Strange Lights and an Unwanted Visitor

I love camping in the rain. On this camp I took my Pomoly Hussar 2.0 Hot Tent and went out to camp in heavy rain. I was hoping for a relaxing camp, listening to the sound of the rain on the tent. It poured and poured. I had a lovely cosy camp set up, until I saw strange scary lights down the valley, and they were not only pointing my way but coming towards me. It was frightening and I considered leaving camp and returning to my car, but decided to face my fears and stick it out for the night. Along with unwanted visitors I also had to face rising river levels and the worry that the camp might be flooded out. Facing challenging situations is part of spending time in the outdoors. I like how challenges build my resilience and help me to have confidence in my ability to handle difficult situations. After a rough evening I had a great nights sleep and a lovely relaxing morning chilling out at camp. For this camp I was in Arthur's Pass National Park and so not able to bring my dog Indi along with me. She will be back on the next trip. Thank you for joining me.
