Jayne and Christopher perform a stunning routine to "The Holy & The Ivy", accompanied by a live choir on 'Dancing On Ice: At Christmas'. This performance just reaffirms for me what I love about Torvill & Dean. Subtle grace and beauty. No pointless flamboyance or highlight driven choreography; which I'll admit that they've "resorted" to a few times in the recent series of Dancing On Ice. But who cares? It's Torvill and Dean! :D I especially loved the death spiral they performed. Although it's a pairs move, it brought back memories of their death spiral in their 1980 routine,'Evergreen'. Another thing about this routine I love is the simplicity of the music. The lack of big noises and over-active lighting really draws you in on their skating; which is something I wish we saw more on DOI. I hope everyone enjoys/enjoyed this routine just as much as I did, and that you all had a Christmas filled with peace and love.
