From being debilitated by a 'Nephrotic Syndrome', massive weight gain to running a full marathon (42 km). Parag highlights his arduous journey which led him to becoming a fitness motivator. Sloppy, lazy and unhealthy are some qualitites that certainly DO NOT describe Parag. At the age of 14, Parag was diagnosed with a kidney disease which demanded the intake of steroids. As side effects of treatment, Parag underwent a massive gain in weight, suffered from acne all over his body, had slower wound healing and bone thinning. Even the smallest of physical tasks would take a toll on him. But with sheer determination, Parag propelled himself and today, he is a fitness motivator and a regular marathon runner who recently ran his first full marathon (42.2 km). At TEDxPICT, Parag will uncover his arduous journey to overcome his condition, to become a source of inspiration for many.
