DYA717 Japan Railpass & Okinawa BURA-BURA July 7, 2024 [Toyoko Inn Kanazawa Kenrokuen Korinbo; Kanazawa]This trip is a laid-back Railpass BURA-BURA look-see around Japan and a quick trip to Okinawa. 6:30 a.m. breakfast at the Toyoko Inn Shinagawa Aomono-yokocho Eki. Yahoo.com says today will be 79-100 degrees in Tokyo. I caught the Kagayaki 507 shinkansen from Tokyo Station at 9:20 a.m. and got to Kanazawa at 11:52 a.m. Kanazawa’s weather was predicted to be 75-93 degrees. Kanazawa has 2 Toyoko Inns; one at the train station which was fully booked so I reserved the Toyoko Inn Kanazawa Kenrokuen Korinbo, about a mile away. Since it was still too early to check in, I decided to get in my exercise for today and did a slow walk to the hotel. I dropped off my luggage and went for more BURA-BURA around the hotel neighborhood. I checked in at 3 p.m.; $37.41/nite w/breakfast – great rate! Had a snack in the basement food court of the Daiwa Dept across the street and later caught the bus to the Kanazawa Station (210-yen) and had Tonkatsu.
