Maya: Renderpeople and a MASH Parade

renderpeople.com did it again: a free, mocap animated character named "Nathan". I use Nathan to demonstrate how to create an army of Nathans, with slight variations of their movements. You see the 9 * 8 = 72 Nathans starting to walk in a dim light, and while they strive ahead things get brighter. At the very end of this endeavour I show you a rendered version of 30 seconds, with a piece of music I explicitly composed for this video. The music consists of West African drums and five other instruments. My composition tool is Cubase, but any other DAW could serve the purpose to compose music along film footage.
