Purnululu (The Bungle Bungles) - Exploring Australia's most underrated national park (while closed!)

The final destination of our East Kimberley mission - The Bungle Bungles, Punrnululu National Park. This part of the trip was particularly special. We worked closely with WA Parks and Wildlife and Heli Spirit to spend 3 days exploring the park while it was closed. We chartered a Longranger helicopter, dodging rainfall and stormy fronts to capture our images. To see this place with no one around and during the wet season was something we'll never forget. Special thanks to the Team at Heli Spirit and Parks and Wildlife for helping make this mission possible. Permission from the traditional owners as well as all the necessary permits were obtained before entering the park. The park is closed in the wet season because the road into the park is on a flood plain, it was flooded and in very poor condition. The park opens at the start of the dry season once the road has been graded and all necessary supplies and staff are present in the park. Thanks for watching.
