OSEE GoStream deck and ATEM Mini = 1/2 Price ATEM mini Extreme for Live Streaming in Small Churches

Do you have an ATEM Mini and wish you had the extra cash to upgrade to an ATEM Mini Extreme? This video is for you. I am not compensated for anything in this video, I bought this out of my own pocket because it does what I need it to do. This is my upgrade from an ATEM Mini Pro here at my home to an Osee GoStream Deck. At the same time I was able to pull my left over and unsellable original ATEM Mini video switcher and put it back to work. Together the Osee GoStream Deck and the ATEM Mini give me everything we are currently using our ATEM Mini Extreme for in our church for less than half the price. (GoStream Deck - $295 and ATEM Mini used are less than $200, compared to the base ATEM Mini Extreme at $995) my upgrade was 1/3rd the cost since I had the ATEM Mini already. While trying out different items for our church live streaming setup, I bought and did a lot of the trial work at home before we spent the money for the church setup. In doing so I developed my home studio to the point I was ready to do a video podcast. With the primary piece of equipment other than my computer being an ATEM Mini Pro I discovered that it would not be enough to do what I wanted to do. What I wanted to do but could not with the ATEM Mini Pro – 1. Interview a guest live via Zoom or such, using the ATEM Mini Pro USB-C as the webcam input and simultaneously record the interview on a USB drive 2. Eventually do this while livestreaming with only 1 laptop. 3. Include 2 people on 2 different cameras or me and the Zoom participant at the same time in the live discussion using Super Source 4. Confirm that the recording includes good audio by listening using a headset. 5. Have a monitor showing the Multiview as well as a monitor showing the program view. All of the above can and is being done for our church by using the ATEM Mini Extreme and 2 laptops and it works very well for that. With the Osee GoStream Deck video switcher, I can do all of that and I don’t get all the extras that make the Extreme so expensive. The only thing I had to overcome was that the Osee GoStream Deck can not handle the 4K input from the Obsbot Tiny 4k like the Atem Mini could. So with my old and unsellable ATEM Mini in line I can now use the webcam I already had, as well as gaining the ability to switch between me or my guest as the face in the Picture in Picture mode so that I can have either one up while discussing what is on the screen. I will do another video showing that trick soon and using the super source. Even though this is about my home studio, this setup would have been the better choice for our church had it been available. The ATEM Mini Extreme is an amazing machine so we will not get rid of it anytime soon, but this is definiteIy much more budget friendly and could use the PTZ cameras we presently use in church without needing the extra switcher as shown. Hope you have fun and find this video useful.
