Conrail in Toledo 1997 is one of two VHS Tapes that was filmed by notable model railroader Doug Tagsold in the 1990s. In this two hour program we will see Big Blue action at Nasby Tower, Airline Yard, Swan Creek, Central Union Terminal, Maumee River Bridge, Vickers, & Stanley Yard. To help with the viewing of this video, here are the timecodes of each sequence: NASBY 0:00 A Conrail SD60M leads a pair of C40-8Ws on an Eastbound TV Train at Westwood Avenue 2:16 An EB coal train pounds over the Toledo Terminal diamond at Nasby Tower with a C40-8W, C36-7 & LMSX Leader in charge 4:08 Nasby Tower profile & a pair of C40-8Ws on a EB freight 6:34 SD80MACs 4103 & 4126 put on a great show as they accelerate out of Airline Yard with a WB freight. 9:10 SD60I 5646 & C40-8W 6230 crank out of town with another WB freight AIRLINE YARD 11:35 GE C30-7A 6557 & B36-7 5006 lead a train of WB train of all Conrail covered hoppers SWAN CREEK 13:11 Conrail SD60I 5646, B40-8 5060 &SD60I 5648 switch a TV train at then-three year old intermodal facility at Airline Yard 18:22 SD60M 5555 & GP40-2 3315 rumble by on the mainline on an EB freight, preparing to stop for a crew change at the station 21:20 One of Detroit Edison's loaded Northbound coal trains screams around the stopped freight with C40-8W 6194 leading NS SD60 6611& SD70 6737 23:08 The camera pans over to see Conrail SD60I 5646, B40-8 5060 & SD60I 5648 again step out into the yard's throat on another switch move 25:58 We join the locomotives at AK Steel Corp as they shove back into Airline 27:07 A NB auto parts train lead SD40-2 6428 & C40-8W 6127 passes the as the TV Train is seen in the distance 29:31 A Southbound freight from Detroit lead by C40-8Ws 6166 & 6163 slowly bring their train across Swan Creek for a crew change at the station 32:03 A local lead by B36-7 5056 & B40-8 5073 try to sneak past the cameras with autoracks likely bound for Jeep's Parkway plant 33:37 Amtrak 49, the WB Lake Shore Limited passes by with two then-new P40DCs leading the long train with two private cars 35:18 The TV Train lead by SD60I 5646, B40-8 5060 & SD60I 5648 finally make a spirited departure out of Airline Yard 37:29 B36-7 5037 & SD60I 5629 run past the camera on a light power transfer run 38:39 Our TV Train once again stops as C39-8 6014 & C40-8W 6187 run past with an EB freight 42:07 The TV has left town as the Local lead by B36-7 5056 & B40-8 5073 returns 44:45 An EB freight is lead by SD50s 6769 & 6711 46:45 Another EB TV Train, this time lead by an SD50 & trio of Dash 8s cruise past the camera for a crew change at the station 48:06 SD60M 5632 is hot on the TV Train's heels with another Airline switch move 50:35 Conrail SD60 6737 puts on a dramatic show with an empty Detroit Edison coal train 54:45 Conrail SD60M 5632 with NS D9-40CW 8965 & B36-7 5034 leads the TV Train on another switch move.
