Tour Description: Part 3 of our Musée D’Orsay tour starts with a brief recap of Parts 1 and 2 and an explanation of what makes Post Impressionism different than what came before. Next, we examine Cezanne’s famous still-lifes and talk about his sour disposition and feud with Manet. We then have a look at Seurat’s love of the wild colours of the Big Top with La Cirque. We head towards the most crowded part of the museum – Van Gogh and Gauguin, where Jessica shows you famous paintings by both and details Van Gogh’s tragic life - and death – story. We have some harsh critique of Gauguin before we end our tour with the debaucherous Toulouse-Lautrec and his exploration of Parisian nightlife.
