In this webinar, Dana Smetherman, MD, MPH, FACR, vice chair of the ACR Economics Committee on Breast Imaging, describes the importance of DBT in the detection of breast cancer and the literature that supports the effectiveness of the technology. She uses actual cases to illustrate side-by-side comparisons of DBT images versus full-field digital mammography. Smetherman also discussed coding of DBT, as Medicare created new G-codes for billing within the Medicare program in lieu of the category I CPT codes.
