Sometimes mounting drum gear between brands can be a challenge. If you have a DW Drums, you may know that your hardware down pipes/down tubes are 6/8 inches. But what if you have a Pearl rack meant for 7/8 inch pipes? Alternatively, you can try to mount to an exiting stand. However this is extremely limiting and defeats much of the benefits of using a rack. In this video, I'll show a simple and cheap way to get your DW Collectors drums to mount to a Pearl brand rack (or any rack expecting a 7/8" tube).
