7 Day Solo Canoe Trip On The Current River

In April of 2021 I decided to set out on a week long solo canoe trip in the Ozark mountains of Missouri on The Current River. I paddled 88 miles from Baptist to Big Spring. Along the way, I visited several springs that feed into the river, such as Welch Spring, Cave Spring, Pulltite Spring, Round Spring, Blue Spring, & Big Spring. The springs are so powerful that they make the river level floatable year round. The "Current" river was appropriately named as I barely had to paddle to make distance. The weather was all over the place which I guess might be a normal thing for that part of the country. On the first day I was swimming in the cold water with the sun shining and by the time the trip ended, I was watching the snow fall.
