In this episode the cleaners are heading to the Welsh hills and Brithdir Hall, a 16th Century Grade II listed mansion. It is home to Jeremy, 55, his son Thomas, 15, and Clayton the spaniel. When he inherited it from his grandmother 12 years ago, Brithdir Hall was immaculate, his grandmother a grand hostess of Welsh high society. Nowadays, the house is all but derelict, with mushrooms growing through the walls, a yard full of dog poo and a loo which hasn’t been cleaned in years - not to mention Jeremy’s stash of old Christmas cards, un-read obituaries and his grandmother’s clothes which he can’t bear to part with.
