Paint beautiful spring daffodil flowers in watercolor with this easy art tutorial! We'll paint a single sunny daffodil flower with inspiration from real life, as we tackle observational painting of flowers in a loose style. We're not looking for realism, but a loose, expressive painting that captures the essence of the daffodil flower. I'll show you how to observe the form of the daffodil's shape and petals, and capture that in watercolor. We'll also look at colour mixing and using wet-on-wet to create contrast and interest. We'll then add the long leaves and orange trumpet for a striking, yet suprisingly simple watercolour painting! This is perfect for watercolor beginners and people trying to get a loose, fun style. You will need: - Watercolour paper - I'm using Daler Rowney The Langton Prestige 100% cotton cold press, in a 10x14 block - Watercolour brush - I'm using Princeton Heritage 4050 Round synthetic in a size 5 - Watercolor paint - I'm using Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Paints in: - Lemon Yellow Deep - Cadmium Yellow - Yellow Ochre - Cadmium Yellow - Sap Green - Prussian Blue You'll also need some clean water and a paper towel or cloth for drying your brush.
