First it's important to point out that this 1:00 a.m. performance was later the same night Brooke had just won the 2017 IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year award! That's amazing that they were still on their feet and willing & able to play such a great set even though Brooke had been talking for hours after the Awards Show while so many members of the bluegrass community shared their heartfelt congratulations. So hats off to the entire band for playing so well despite being a little worn out...but still very happy. The band includes the newest IBMA 2017 Momentum Instrumentalist award winner Carley Arrowood on fiddle, Billy Gee on bass, Allen Shadd on guitar and Matt Menefee playing some incredible banjo. At about the 26:00 minute mark to cap the evening off, they launch into a cool version of one of David Grisman's Dawg tunes, EMD.
