Being a homebody is what today's video is about. Those of us who love to be home and recharge know how weird it is to explain it to people who are not like that. The only good thing that happened last year for me was that I got to experience working from home, and spend less time doing mindless activities like commuting or being overcommitted. For me, growing up being a homebody meant I felt like I shouldn't be this way. Now I think it's just a preference, and that we shouldn't feel bad for not wanting to do "amazing" activities all the time. It's more important to honor who you are and have the time to recharge however you need. However, unfortunately being a homebody is also tied to privilege. People who have multiple jobs don't get to spend much time at home, or resting even if they wanted to. This is why I feel like this is tied to a larger conversation regarding working conditions and low wages in the US. Anyways! I mostly like being a homebody because I just want to be home doing arts and crafts. Been this way since I was little, and now I finally get to really embrace it.
