The Three Peaks Fell Race takes in 3 of the biggest mountains in Yorkshire, starting in Horton hundreds of fell runners from across the UK ascend Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough for 23.5 miles and 5200ft of relentless fell running. As Fell races go this is the most iconic and affectionately named the 'Marathon With Mountains'. My goal was to finish in under 3 hours and 40 minutes for a 1st class time. Fell Racing is completely different to Trail or road and yet the three Peaks race merges all 3, I trained very hard and specific towards this event and share how to fuel the 3 peaks race and the best gear for the three peaks fell race.
