It's such a grand seaside holiday town with fantastic seafront hotels, a long wide bay with great beach, a magnificent pier and all overlooked by the Great Orme and cable cars! What's not to love? We start on Llandudno Pier that stretches from the sea and heads towards the beach via The Grand Hotel, the funfair and amusements and ends at Llandudno Promenade which stretches round the bay and seafront with some beautiful hotels and B&B's overlooking it and looking out to sea. Whether you're here for a day trip or a family holiday, Llandudno is the perfect North Wales seaside resort to visit with something for everyone. There are boat trips and boat rides out to sea, you can go crabbing off the pier, up Great Orme for fantastic views of the beach and coast or head into the town centre for something to eat at the restaurants and cafes here. Llandudno is a coastal town in north Wales. It’s known for North Shore Beach and 19th-century Llandudno Pier, with shops and a games arcade. Northwest of town, the cliffs of Great Orme headland jut into the sea. Ancient tunnels lead to a cavern at Great Orme Mines. A 1902 tramway has an upper and lower section, and travels to the headland’s summit. To the east, smaller headland Little Orme is a nature reserve Llandudno was recently voted as the best seaside in Wales. Llandudno was described as the perfect staycation escape, complete with beaches, nature, castles and jaw-dropping views from the summit station up at The Great Orme. It also recommended the Beachside Guest House, which is just one minute from the beach and surrounded by all the resort's attractions. It's not just the day time activities that make Llandudno a great place to work, there's a variety of restaurants, venues and bars that give Llandudno a lively night life. Should you stay in Llandudno or Conwy? Llandudno is a larger town which was extensively developed in the mid nineteenth century as a "purpose built" tourist resort so it's nowhere near as historic as Conwy but is noted for it's Victorian architecture. It has a far larger choice and variety of accommodation than Conwy and more bars and restaurants. Llandudno is Wales’s largest resort with a multitude of hotels, traditional B&Bs, creative Self Catering and other attractions with amazing things to do. The town is renowned for its sweeping bay and victorian era architecture. It is uniquely situated between the Great and Little Ormes with two wonderful beaches, the award winning North Shore and the quiet, sand duned West Shore.
