Hub Bearing Assembly Replacement for Land Rover LR3 2005 - 2009 (also on LR4 & Range Rover Sport)

Something that shows up quite a bit on the Land Rover LR3s and the Range Rover Sports and that's front wheel bearing failure. You hear growling noises from the front end. And you can hear a loud brake squeal on corners. And what that is from is from excessive movement. Do I actually have a bad wheel bearing or not? Now to verify that, get the front wheel off the ground. You'll notice you have some loose side to side play. Now you can replace the front wheel bearings on these by themselves, but generally when you try to press the old bearings out and press the new ones in some damage is done to the new ones. It's always better to just replace the hub assembly. It also makes it a much easier installation. Watch Doug, our Land Rover Master Technician, explain front wheel bearing failure on a LR3 2005-2009, and how to resolve this common issue with replacement of the front hub bearing assembly, using part # LR014147. This replacement of the hub bearing assembly is also valid on the Range Rover Sport 2006 - 2009 and Land Rover LR4 2010 - 2016. 0:14 Front wheel bearing failure 0:27 Replace the hub assembly 0:34 How to tell if you have a bad wheel bearing 0:44 Verify by jacking up wheel 0:55 Loose side to side play 1:14 Hub part number LR014147 1:37 Wheel off 1:50 Loosen bolt that holds sensor wires 2:19 Take off brake caliper 2:27 Hang caliper to the side 3:04 Wheel speed sensors out of the way 3:18 Rotor off 4:06 Confirmed that bearing is bad 4:19 Remove old failed hub 7:02 Install new hub in the correct position 9:28 Tighten 4 bolts, add nut 10:52 Tap down and crimp 11:15 Rotor back on, wheel speed sensor installed 14:14 Caliper back on 15:25 Bracket for cables and hoses 16:35 Wheel back on 16:44 Get brake pedal back up 16:55 Ordering information Parts List: https://www.roverparts.com/driveline-... #atlanticbritish #lr3 #hubbearingassembly
